A first look at Operation Plans, new battlefield mechanics, returning content, Hero Awakenings, and what remains unconfirmed

Season 7 of Last War: Survival has officially been revealed as Return to the Golden Empire. The desert and pyramids are returning, but this is not simply a repeat of Season 3. Early preview materials point to a major change in how alliances will fight, defend, grow, and work together.

The central idea behind Season 7 is simple: every commander should have a meaningful role. Strong attackers will still matter, but the new systems are designed to give growing players, defenders, healers, and support-focused commanders more ways to contribute to the alliance's success.

Season 7 is still in its early-preview stage. Some names vary between translations, and mechanics, values, schedules, and rewards may change before the season reaches every server. This article separates what has been revealed from what is still speculation.

  • Reported first pre-season wave: November 9, 2026, for servers 3–164, with later servers expected to follow in stages

The November 9 schedule has been reported by Cpt Hedgehog's Battle HQ. Players should still watch their own in-game notices because rollout timing may differ by server group.

A Season Built Around Alliance-Wide Participation

Seasons 5 and 6 placed eight warzones on one enormous battlefield. That created large-scale wars, but it also allowed the strongest alliances and highest-power players to determine much of the action.

Season 7 appears to be changing that formula. Instead of expecting every player to contribute in the same way, commanders will be able to select an Operation Plan that fits their power, availability, and battlefield role.

A growing player may focus on resources and daily progress. A support player may reinforce allies, defend key positions, or help restore bases and wounded troops. An offensive player may specialize in choosing targets, breaking defensive positions, or creating new attack opportunities.

This could make alliance organization more important than raw power alone. A well-balanced alliance will need commanders performing different jobs and coordinating those roles at the right time.

The New Operation Plan System

The headline feature for Season 7 is the new Operation Plan system. Some translations and community guides call it Combat Plans or Operational Strategy, but these names appear to refer to the same feature.

Before battle, commanders will choose a plan suited to their role, the needs of the alliance, and the current battlefield situation. Plans fall into three general categories.

Growth Type — Development

Growth plans focus on building strength and preparing for future battles. Early descriptions include:

  • Gathering resources

  • Defeating enemies or monsters in the wild

  • Completing daily activities and missions

  • Building a stronger foundation for later combat

This path may give developing accounts a valuable purpose even when they are not ready to lead frontline attacks.

Support Type — Defense and Recovery

Support plans focus on keeping the alliance in the fight. Their roles may include:

  • Defending strongholds and important positions

  • Healing wounded troops

  • Reinforcing allies

  • Supporting battlefield operations

  • Contributing to the alliance's long-term strength

Support commanders may become essential during prolonged battles where durability, troop recovery, and reinforcement speed decide which alliance remains on the map.

Offense Type — Attack and Breakthrough

Offensive plans are built around creating openings and applying pressure. Their roles may include:

  • Selecting attack targets

  • Fighting consecutive battles

  • Using troop counters and building-specific strategies

  • Coordinating with allies to break defensive positions

The system suggests that offensive players will need to do more than simply attack the nearest target. Choosing the right ability and combining it with alliance strategy may be the difference between a failed assault and a breakthrough.

Three Operation Plans Revealed

Three individual plans have appeared in early Season 7 previews. Their final English names may change, but their described mechanics show how different battlefield roles could work.

Sandworm Bomb

The Sandworm Bomb is an offensive plan that turns base positioning into a weapon.

A commander plants the bomb at their own base or an allied base. Once planted, a countdown begins. If the enemy does not remove the threat before the timer expires, the bomb detonates and deals substantial durability damage to nearby enemy bases.

Important details from the preview include:

  • The bomb disappears if the base carrying it is destroyed, knocked away, or teleports.

  • Bases damaged by the explosion receive temporary immunity from additional Sandworm Bomb damage.

  • Multiple bombs therefore cannot be endlessly chained against the same targets.

This mechanic could create new positioning tactics. Alliances may place a heavily defended base beside an enemy cluster, forcing opponents to react before the countdown finishes.

Call for Help — Requesting Backup

The support plan described as Call for Help or Requesting Backup allows other commanders to station troops at the activating player's base.

While those allied troops remain stationed there, the base gradually restores durability. This could help an alliance protect an important position, keep a targeted commander on the battlefield, or stabilize a base long enough for reinforcements to arrive.

The plan rewards coordinated defense. Simply activating it will not be enough; alliance members must respond and send troops for the recovery effect to work.

Mummy Army — Mummy Legion

The Mummy Army, also described as Mummy Legion, gives defeated attacking troops another role.

When troops fall while attacking a building, some may return as projections and form a Mummy Army near the target. Mummy projections created by different alliance members can merge into a larger force. Early descriptions indicate that the combined army launches an automatic rally against the building after a short delay and fights with reduced statistics compared with the original troops.

This ability may reward alliances that attack together. Even unsuccessful attacks could contribute to a larger follow-up strike rather than ending with no additional pressure on the target.

The name may sound familiar because Mummy Army previously appeared in Season 6 as an Altar Alliance Skill. In Season 7, the idea appears to be returning as an individually selected Operation Plan. The concept is not completely new, but its role and method of activation are changing.

Tactical Cards and Alliance Skills

Operation Plans will not operate alone. The official preview says they can be combined with Tactical Cards and Alliance Skills.

This means two commanders using the same plan may still build very different battlefield strategies. The value of a plan may depend on the cards selected, the alliance skills available, the target, and the timing of activation.

Several familiar Alliance Skills are returning:

  • Cooldown Reset

  • Tesla Coil

  • War Lord Missile

Additional Alliance Skills are also expected, although the complete list and exact effects have not been released.

Desert Storm Battlefield Improvements

Season 7 will also introduce several changes to Desert Storm. These improvements appear designed to make support actions more visible and valuable.

New Rescue System

Commanders will be able to assist with healing a portion of their allies' wounded troops. This reduces the burden and cost of troop recovery while giving more alliance members a way to contribute.

Participating in rescues is also expected to award battlefield points. That is an important change because support players may finally receive measurable credit for helping teammates recover.

Battlefield Achievement System

New battlefield objectives and challenges will offer additional goals during Desert Storm. The complete achievement list and reward structure have not yet been shown.

Faster Garrison Marches

March speed will reportedly increase when commanders are garrisoning buildings. Faster reinforcement could make defensive reactions more effective and reduce the time required to move troops into a threatened objective.

Deployment and Interface Improvements

The early preview also mentions adjusted battlefield deployment, improved building interfaces, and other quality-of-life changes. More detailed information will be needed before we know how significantly these updates will alter battle strategy.

Returning Seasonal Content

Season 7 combines new mechanics with several familiar systems.

Golden Territory Battle

The Golden Territory Battle, also translated as Battle for the Golden Empire, is returning. Commanders will select a declaration target, plan attack routes, organize offense and defense, seize the gold, and compete for higher rankings.

World Expedition and Hero Awakening

World Expedition returns alongside the Hero Awakening system. Translation may vary, and some community sources compare it with Season 6's Global Expedition.

The official Season 7 Growth Preview names three heroes that will receive Awakenings:

  • Carlie — Aircraft

  • McGregor — Missile

  • Murphy — Tank

This gives each major troop type one featured defensive frontline hero. The order and timing of their Awakening releases have not been announced, and the order in which the heroes are listed should not be treated as a release schedule.

Their individual Awakening skills, release order, costs, and dates have not been revealed. However, the existing Awakening system requires a hero's Exclusive Weapon to reach Level 20 before Awakening. Game8 reports that raising an Exclusive Weapon to Level 20 requires a total of 1,130 Exclusive Weapon shards.

Players who use Carlie, McGregor, or Murphy can review their current Exclusive Weapon progress, but there is no reason to push every weapon to Level 30. Level 20 is the relevant preparation point under the existing system. Preserve Universal Awakening Shards and other flexible resources until the final skills and release order are known.

Season 7 Store: Ancestral Fortress Confirmed

In-game Season Store screenshots show a permanent Ancestral Fortress base skin marked Purchasable in S7.

  • Duration: Permanent

  • Price: 1,500 Season Merit medals

  • Equipped bonus: +5% Hero Attack

  • Ownership bonus: +3% Hero Attack and +3% Hero Defense

The equipped bonus applies while the Ancestral Fortress is being used. The ownership bonuses apply after obtaining the skin, even when a different base skin is equipped.

This confirms a valuable permanent Season 7 Store reward. It does not identify the separate base skin that will receive Season 7's temporary seasonal enhancement.

What About the Season 7 Base-Skin Buff?

The Season 7 boosted base skin has not been confirmed.

Community discussion has mentioned several older skins—including Supreme Dragon City, Easter Egg Hunter, and Dual Propeller Base—but these are speculative possibilities, not announced choices.

There is currently no verified announcement confirming the Pumpkin Cauldron as the Season 7 boosted skin. The confirmed Ancestral Fortress Store listing does not change that. These are two different questions: one is a permanent Store reward, while the other is a temporary season-specific skin enhancement.

Until the boosted skin appears in an official notice or the pre-season interface, players should treat all predictions as rumors.

What Is Still Unknown?

Although Season 7 itself and its major systems have been previewed, many important details remain unanswered:

  • The complete server rollout schedule

  • The exact length of the pre-season and main season

  • The full list of Operation Plans

  • Plan cooldowns, durations, ranges, and numerical effects

  • The complete Tactical Card system

  • New Alliance Skills and their requirements

  • Battlefield Achievement goals and rewards

  • Hero Awakening skills, costs, release order, and timing

  • World Expedition rules and rewards

  • The identity and exact bonus of the Season 7 boosted base skin

  • Whether any preliminary mechanics will change before release

How Commanders Can Prepare Now

There is no need to spend valuable resources based on an early preview. The safest preparation is flexible preparation.

  • Continue building strong, balanced squads.

  • Preserve Universal Awakening Shards and other limited resources when practical.

  • Review the Exclusive Weapons for Carlie, McGregor, and Murphy; Level 20 is the established Awakening preparation point.

  • Do not push an Exclusive Weapon to Level 30 solely because its hero has been named for Season 7.

  • Consider preserving Season Merit medals if the Ancestral Fortress and its permanent bonuses fit your account goals.

  • Avoid investing in a rumored skin solely because it may receive a seasonal buff.

  • Watch for official in-game notices tied to your server group.

  • Begin discussing alliance roles for growth, support, defense, and offense.

  • Expect names to vary across translations and regions.

The most important preparation may be organizational. Season 7 appears designed to reward alliances that give every commander a clear job and combine different plans into one coordinated strategy.

Final Thoughts

Return to the Golden Empire looks less like a simple return to an old desert map and more like a redesign of seasonal teamwork.

Operation Plans could give smaller and mid-powered commanders a meaningful battlefield purpose. Sandworm Bomb introduces a new positioning threat. Call for Help turns reinforcement into base recovery. Mummy Army allows fallen troops to continue applying pressure. Desert Storm's Rescue System may finally reward commanders who keep their teammates fighting rather than chasing kills.

The direction is promising, but it is still a first look. Final mechanics, values, rewards, translations, and schedules may change. Whiskey Kiss will continue separating confirmed information from rumors as new Season 7 details are released.

Check back for updates as the Golden Empire rises again.

Sources and Verification Notes

The Cpt Hedge guide is a secondary source. Its boosted-skin candidates are explicitly speculative. The Ancestral Fortress information is supported by screenshots of the in-game Season Store, but it does not confirm the boosted seasonal skin. Server dates and preliminary mechanics should always be checked against final in-game announcements.
