Base Expansion Day is where smart planning begins to show. In Alliance Duel, a building completed during the scoring window can improve your account, add personal chest progress, and contribute to the alliance total.

Day 2 is not about building everything you can. It is about completing the buildings that move your account forward. A planned upgrade can improve troop production, research access, Headquarters progress, or hospital capacity while it scores. Check the live event screen before spending, since scoring can vary by server, season, and event format.

The goal is a useful score that leaves your account stronger after the event ends.

Construction Power Is More Valuable When It Has a Purpose

Not every building creates equal value. Prioritize projects that unlock Headquarters progress, research requirements, troop training, hospital capacity, Drill Ground space, or important seasonal systems.

Ask what the upgrade changes after the event: Does it remove a requirement, improve a barracks before Total Mobilization, prepare your hospital for Enemy Buster, or solve a real bottleneck? If it is only inexpensive or available, it may not deserve your resources. Useful progression matters more than power from random projects.

Choose projects that support your next milestone, not just today’s number.

Staging Buildings Creates Efficient Points

Prepare a useful building before Day 2, then collect it after scoring begins if the game safely allows it. This is often called staging or gift-wrapping a building. The upgrade still costs the same resources and time; the advantage is timing it for VS value.

Do not assume every building can be held safely, as game behavior and interfaces can change. Check your current screen, understand what will auto-collect, and stage only projects you wanted anyway.

Staging is a timing tool, not a reason to begin an unnecessary upgrade.

Plan Construction Before Tuesday

Day 2 preparation starts on Monday. Choose one or two useful projects and start longer upgrades early enough to finish after Base Expansion begins. If timing is imperfect, use construction speedups on Tuesday only when the project is worth completing.

Check costs as carefully as timers. Food, Iron, Coin, Oil, and other materials can prevent an upgrade even when you saved enough speedups. Before Tuesday, make sure you can actually afford the project. A complete plan includes the timer, resources, purpose, and scoring window.

Planning only one or two meaningful projects is usually better than scrambling through several smaller ones.

Construction Speedups Should Support Real Progress

Construction speedups turn time into account progress, but they should not be used on every timer. Spend them on buildings that support a current goal: barracks before Day 5, hospitals before Enemy Buster, or required buildings before a major research project.

Use construction speedups before universal speedups whenever practical. Universal speedups can serve research, training, healing, and future requirements, so protect them until they are truly needed. A speedup is most efficient when it completes something meaningful.

If an upgrade does not help a real goal, let its timer run naturally.

Do Not Forget the Resource Economy

Day 2 can create a hidden resource problem. Using all Food, Iron, Coin, and Oil on buildings may leave too little for Day 3 research, Day 5 training, or Day 6 healing.

Look ahead before finishing a project. Do you still have enough for tomorrow’s research and later troop training? Keep resource chests protected until there is a planned need; opening them early makes overspending easier and reserves harder to track. Complete buildings while protecting the rest of the week.

Your inventory is a weekly reserve, not a pile that must be spent on the first useful day.

Trade Trucks and Secret Tasks Can Add Efficient Score

Depending on your live event screen, Trade Trucks and Secret Tasks may add Day 2 points without needing a major construction project. Use them with restraint.

Do not spend every Trade Contract or Secret Order chasing perfect results. The goal is to improve a qualifying truck or task, not spend repeatedly on refreshes. If a strong option is available, it can be efficient; if refresh costs become excessive or you reached your target, save items for another week.

An efficient opportunity is valuable, but it never needs to be forced.

Survivor Activity Should Fit Your Development Plan

Some servers include survivor activity on Base Expansion Day. If qualifying survivor recruitment or upgrades score, Day 2 can be a good time to complete planned development for your base, resources, or training.

Do not confuse survivor items with Hero Day resources. Hero tickets, EXP, Shards, and Skill Medals are generally better saved for Train Heroes Day. Follow the current event requirements and read the item description if you are unsure.

That quick check prevents a small timing error from costing a much stronger Hero Day score.

Use Day 2 to Remove Real Bottlenecks

Base Expansion is most valuable when it fixes what is slowing your account down: a Headquarters prerequisite, weak barracks, limited hospital space, or a Tech Center requirement for important research.

A good project may not give the largest power increase or highest single score, but it helps every future week run more smoothly. Visible power is not the same as real strength. Build the systems that support the growth you actually want.

Removing one recurring bottleneck often provides more lasting value than several random upgrades.

Watch for Arms Race Building Overlap

Construction can gain extra value during a City Building Arms Race phase. Before using a major building bundle, check the timer; if the overlap is close and the VS day has enough time left, waiting may create rewards in both events.

Do not miss Base Expansion scoring just to chase overlap. Arms Race is an efficiency bonus, while Day 2 remains the priority.

Use the overlap when it fits the plan, not when it forces you to delay a project past its best window.

Set a Day 2 Stopping Point

After reaching your normal personal target, pause. Check the alliance score, the next chest, and the resources needed later in the week.

Continue only when the alliance needs a push, the next chest is close, the project is important, or Arms Race adds real value. Stop when the opponent’s lead cannot be reached, the next building is low priority, or those resources are better saved for research, heroes, training, or healing.

Knowing when to stop is part of strong Alliance Duel play.

Prepare for Age of Science

As Base Expansion ends, shift to research. Save research speedups for Age of Science, check Gold and other requirements, and identify the next useful technology. Review relevant Valor Badges and Alliance Duel research branches as well.

The best VS routine prepares tomorrow while finishing today.

Leave Day 2 with research resources, Gold, and the next technology already in mind.

Final Thoughts

Base Expansion is not about building more than everyone else. It is about building better. Stage useful upgrades when possible, spend speedups on real progress, protect your resource economy, and use trucks, tasks, and survivors only when efficient.

When every building has a purpose, your VS score and account growth improve together.

BUILD WITH PURPOSE. SCORE WITH TIMING. LET EVERY UPGRADE MAKE TOMORROW STRONGER.
